Displayer

Refund policy

Every payment for a Displayer plan is final. Below are the three situations in which we return money, and what happens to your screens when you cancel or a renewal is collected.

Where this policy starts

Effective 14 October 2026. This policy is part of our terms of service and applies to every plan, monthly or yearly.

You pay for screen time, not for results

A Displayer plan is a subscription to the platform for a period, priced by the screens you keep active and the limits shown on the pricing page. The whole period opens the day it is paid, whether your screens play around the clock or stay switched off. Before buying you can build a layout in the screen builder on the home page and see the playlist loop run, so what you pay for is visible in advance.

When you complete checkout, you ask us to start providing the service at once. If a statutory right of withdrawal or a cooling-off period would otherwise apply, you accept that it ends once we begin at your request.

Reasons that never lead to a refund

  • Screens that sat unpaired, unplugged or offline for part of the period
  • Hardware on your side: a television that would not run the player, a stick that overheated, a venue network that blocked the connection
  • Content that looked different on a particular screen size, or a menu price that was wrong because it was entered wrong
  • Paying for more screens than you ended up pairing, or for a higher plan than you needed
  • Choosing yearly billing and then wanting monthly, or the other way round
  • Changing your mind, closing a location, or a project being dropped
  • A renewal that went through, including one collected after earlier failed attempts
  • Believing the plan was a single payment. Every plan renews automatically, and the pricing page, checkout, confirmation email and billing page say so
  • Meaning to cancel before the renewal date and not doing it, or cancelling just after it
  • A feature that is not described on the pricing page, or that behaves differently from what you expected
  • The unused part of a period after you cancel or deactivate screens. Nothing is pro-rated
  • Another person using your workspace, including someone you shared a login with

The three exceptions

We refund only in the cases below, only where the records described further down support the claim, and only up to the charge concerned.

  • Double charge: a fault in our billing took payment twice for the same period
  • Unauthorised charge: your card was used without your permission, you report it within 14 days, and our records together with those of our payment operator confirm it. A statement alone does not decide it, the evidence does, and we may ask you to confirm that you reported the misuse to your card issuer
  • Complete outage: a confirmed fault on our side left the platform entirely unusable for a continuous period, you told us while it was happening, and we could not resolve it. Slower publishing, one feature misbehaving, or players running their downloaded schedule offline while the platform was unreachable do not count

An approved refund is limited to what you actually paid for the affected period, goes back to the card that paid, and is our whole liability for that charge. One approved refund creates no right to another.

How to make a claim

Write to [email protected] from the email address on your workspace within 14 days of the charge, with the date, the amount and the exception you rely on. Late claims and claims from other addresses are not considered. Claims are handled in the order they arrive, and declined claims are not reopened.

Opening a chargeback with your bank without contacting us first breaches our terms, and the workspace is closed permanently.

Renewals, retries and cancelling

Each plan renews automatically at the end of its month or year until you cancel. Cancel on the billing page of your workspace, without writing to us. Cancelling stops the renewals that follow, and your screens keep playing until the paid period ends. Cancelling is not a refund request.

When a new period begins, access to it is granted and its payment falls due. If your card issuer declines the charge, our payment operator tries again over the following days. Those attempts collect the same unpaid invoice and are not new charges. Cancelling during them switches off later renewals but leaves the amount already due in place, and a renewal collected late is as final as one collected on time. To avoid a renewal, cancel before the date shown on the billing page.

What we keep on record

Creating an account means accepting our terms of service, which include this policy, and our privacy policy. Checkout shows the plan, the number of screens, the price, the billing period and automatic renewal before you pay.

For each subscription we keep the time of purchase, what checkout displayed, your acceptance of the terms, the emails we sent, renewal notices, and an activity log for the workspace: sign-ins, screens paired and unpaired, playlists and schedules saved, media uploaded and the play record of every screen, with the technical details recorded alongside. Our payment operator holds its own record of each transaction, including the card's country of issue, where the payment came from and the result of bank authentication such as 3D Secure. Unauthorised charge claims are assessed against these records, and the same records go to your bank if a chargeback is opened.

Purchases before this date

A subscription bought before 14 October 2026 stays under the terms that applied at purchase until its current period ends.
