Kitcast pricing per screen and the Kitcast Starter and Pro plans compared

Kitcast charges per screen per month on two published plans. Starter is 9 USD per screen monthly or 7 USD billed yearly, and Pro is 14 USD monthly or 10 USD billed yearly, with single sign-on, the API, audit logs and emergency alerts. Enterprise is quoted, and volume pricing starts at 50 screens. Team members are unlimited on both plans and hardware is bought separately, so 25 screens on Pro come to 3,000 USD a year plus one player per screen if your displays cannot run Kitcast on their own.

Kitcast pricing at a glance

Prices read on Kitcast's pricing page in October 2026, in USD per screen.

Plan Monthly billing Yearly billing Main additions
Starter 9 USD a month 7 USD a month, 84 USD a year Media, playlists, scheduling, templates, basic apps, screen zones, unlimited storage
Pro 14 USD a month 10 USD a month, 120 USD a year Roles and permissions, dashboards, web pages and live streams, SAML SSO, Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, CAP and emergency alerts, monitoring, API, MDM, audit logs
Enterprise Quoted Quoted Assigned success manager, priority SLAs, rollout support, security review, custom invoicing

Every plan includes unlimited team members, and Kitcast states there are no setup fees, no per-user fees and no storage overages. The trial is 14 days with full Pro access and no card, and paid plans carry a 30 day money back guarantee. Education and nonprofit discounts are available on request.

What Kitcast costs for 10, 25 and 100 screens

At the published rates:

Screens Starter yearly Pro yearly Pro monthly billing
10 840 USD 1,200 USD 1,680 USD
25 2,100 USD 3,000 USD 4,200 USD
100 8,400 USD before volume pricing 12,000 USD before volume pricing 16,800 USD

Paying yearly cuts the Pro bill by about 29 percent. At 100 screens you are past the 50 screen line where Kitcast quotes volume pricing, so treat the 100 row as the ceiling of the negotiation, not the price you will pay.

Starter or Pro, which plan you actually need

Starter is enough for one site with a handful of screens and one or two people editing. The jump to Pro is driven by four things, and if any one applies, budget for Pro from the start:

  • IT wants signage behind the company login. SAML single sign-on is on Pro, which at 10 USD yearly is one of the cheapest SSO tiers in the category.
  • You show dashboards or web pages. Power BI and Tableau dashboards, live web pages and streams are Pro features.
  • Several teams publish. Advanced roles and permissions are on Pro, so a franchise or multi-department setup ends up there.
  • Safety wants alerts on the screens. CAP and emergency alerts sit on Pro.

Hardware is the cost outside the plan

Kitcast does not sell its own player. Its pricing page lists the devices it runs on and their typical one-time cost: Amazon Fire TV Stick about 39 USD, Android TV boxes 30 to 200 USD, Apple TV 199 to 249 USD and BrightSign players 380 to 1,335 USD. Samsung Tizen and LG webOS commercial displays, Windows, macOS, Raspberry Pi and Linux are supported too, so a recent commercial display may need no extra device at all.

Kitcast started as the first signage app on the Apple TV App Store, and many customers still run it on Apple TV. At 25 screens that hardware choice adds roughly 5,000 to 6,200 USD up front, more than a year and a half of the Pro subscription. A Fire TV Stick at 39 USD a screen cuts it to under 1,000 USD. Pick the player before you compare subscription prices, because it moves the three year total more than the plan does.

What Kitcast does not list on its pricing page

Kitcast's pricing page does not mention proof of play reports or stored screenshots on either plan. Pro has audit and activity logs (who changed what) and monitoring with alerts (is the screen online). That covers most internal use. If a franchisor, advertiser, landlord or auditor asks what a particular screen actually showed on a particular day, ask Kitcast sales in writing what report you would hand over, before you sign.

Kitcast compared with other digital signage pricing

Twenty five screens for one year at published yearly rates.

Platform and tier Per screen a year 25 screens a year What the record shows
Xibo Cloud Professional 58.80 USD 1,470 USD 62 day proof of play log
Kitcast Starter 84 USD 2,100 USD Not listed
Displayer Essential 108 USD 2,700 USD Not on this plan
Kitcast Pro, with SSO 120 USD 3,000 USD Audit and activity logs
OptiSigns Pro 135 USD 3,375 USD Proof of play log
Yodeck Premium 144 USD 3,600 USD Playback reports
Displayer Professional 168 USD 4,200 USD Play record plus stored screenshots
Displayer Network, with SSO 288 USD 7,200 USD Play record plus stored screenshots

Kitcast is cheaper than Displayer at both levels, and Kitcast Pro is the cheaper way to get SSO, by 4,200 USD a year at 25 screens. That is worth saying plainly. Where Displayer earns the difference is evidence: on Professional every paired screen stores timestamped screenshots of what it displayed, so the answer to "was our promotion on the screen in the Dallas store last Tuesday" is a picture rather than a log line. Displayer also runs in the browser the display already has, so a smart TV or commercial display needs no stick at all. Every plan is on the pricing page, and proof of play shows what the record contains.

Who should pick which

  • Choose Kitcast Starter for one or two sites, a small team and screens that show media and schedules.
  • Choose Kitcast Pro when IT requires SSO, when screens show Power BI or Tableau dashboards, or when you want CAP alerts at the lowest per screen price.
  • Choose Displayer Professional when someone outside the company asks what played and wants to see it: franchise groups, retail networks selling screen time to suppliers, banks with rate boards and property managers. Our retail digital signage and digital signage for banks pages show how that evidence is used.

If the screens are mostly dashboards, the hard part is usually getting the numbers in one place before they reach a display. A data integration platform that connects your apps and databases can feed one dashboard that every screen shows, whichever signage software you choose.

If you are still building a shortlist, our best digital signage software comparison prices the main platforms per screen side by side, and the Yodeck pricing and OptiSigns pricing guides cover the two vendors buyers most often weigh against Kitcast.
