Poppulo pricing and what Poppulo digital signage costs per screen

Poppulo does not publish prices. Its pricing page lists four product lines, employee communications, the employee app, advocacy and digital signage, and each one ends in a talk to sales button. The figures buyers can find are indirect: one US university charges its departments 250 USD a year per content player for its Poppulo service, and independent cost guides place enterprise platforms like Poppulo at 20 to 30 USD or more per screen per month. At that range, 25 screens cost about 6,000 to 9,000 USD a year in software before services and hardware.

Build one of your office screens before you book the Poppulo demo

Type your company name and three notices for a lobby or break room, and the builder renders a working screen in your browser with the weekly schedule behind it. No account and no player to buy, so you have a per screen price and a working screen to compare before procurement starts.

Poppulo pricing at a glance

Every number below comes from a public source other than a Poppulo price list, because there is none. We read poppulo.com/pricing in October 2026: no rates, no minimums, no contract terms, only sales contact forms per product line. Treat these as anchors for a negotiation, not as a quote.

Why Poppulo has no price list

Poppulo sells a platform, not a signage subscription. The company is the result of the 2021 merger of Four Winds Interactive, the Denver digital signage vendor known as FWI, with Poppulo, the Cork based employee email company, backed by Vista Equity Partners. The combined business sells employee communications, a mobile app, leadership advocacy and digital signage to large employers, and its signage is usually one line inside a wider internal communications deal.

That shapes the price. A quote depends on how many screens you run, which modules you take, whether you buy the email and app products too, how much onboarding and content help you need, and whether Poppulo monitors the network for you. Two companies with the same 40 screens can pay very different amounts because one bought signage alone and the other bought the whole stack.

What the University of Pittsburgh figure tells you

Pitt runs an enterprise digital signage service powered by Poppulo for its departments. The license fee is due at implementation and renews every April, and the recurring annual maintenance cost is 250 USD per content player. That covers access to the central platform, templates, remote previews, scheduled player restarts, staff training, hardware consulting and emergency alerts from campus police.

Read it carefully. It is a university's internal recharge to its own departments, built on an enterprise contract that spreads the cost over many screens, and it says nothing about what Pitt pays Poppulo. It is still the clearest public sign of the order of magnitude: about 20 USD per player per month for the software layer alone, at large scale and education pricing.

What Poppulo digital signage includes

The pricing page lists the signage capabilities in one block, without saying which come at extra cost. They are aimed at large workplaces and frontline sites:

  • Branded templates, scheduling, targeting, localization and publishing by role or region
  • Real-time alerts and urgent messaging across every screen
  • Town hall and all-hands streaming, and idle screen takeovers in meeting rooms
  • Canva and Power BI integrations, plus Microsoft 365, Google and single sign-on
  • Meeting room booking, room schedule signs and wayfinding
  • Multi-site management with governance, security and device monitoring

If your company already uses Poppulo email or the employee app, this is the strongest argument for buying its signage too: one place to write a message and send it to inboxes, phones and screens together.

What hardware Poppulo runs on

Poppulo does not run in a TV browser the way per screen web platforms do. It supports Windows, Android and BrightSign players, and has introduced its own Harmony signage player for high resolution video and animation. The University of Nebraska standard for Poppulo Harmony players specifies a Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC computer with at least an 11th generation Intel Core i3. BrightSign models such as the XD1035 and XT1145 are a common choice; our BrightSign pricing guide has what each player costs.

Budget for the display as well. Nebraska's estimates list a 55 inch Samsung commercial panel at about 770 USD for standard brightness, 970 USD for a 24/7 high brightness model, and 435 USD for a 10 inch room schedule sign. A player per screen, mounting and installation come on top.

What Poppulo costs for 10, 25 and 100 screens

Software only, per year, using the 20 to 30 USD per screen per month range from independent estimates. Your quote can land outside it, especially with bundled email or app licenses and multi-year terms.

Screens Low estimate, 20 USD High estimate, 30 USD Displayer Network, 24 USD yearly
10 2,400 USD 3,600 USD 2,880 USD
25 6,000 USD 9,000 USD 7,200 USD
100 24,000 USD 36,000 USD 28,800 USD

Add the player for each screen, onboarding, and any monitoring or content services Poppulo quotes. For a first deployment those lines can match the software cost in year one.

The extra costs in a Poppulo quote

  • Professional services. Content consulting and design, onboarding and training, technical integration and remote monitoring are listed as separate services.
  • Players. A Windows PC or BrightSign player per screen, unless your displays are already on a supported player.
  • Room signs and touch screens. Meeting room booking and wayfinding need their own hardware.
  • Other Poppulo products. Email, the employee app and advocacy are licensed separately, often per employee rather than per screen.
  • Contract term. Enterprise quotes are usually annual or multi-year. Ask what renewal increase is capped, if any.

Poppulo pricing compared with per screen platforms

Twenty five screens, one year, software only, at each vendor's published yearly rate, read in October 2026. Poppulo is shown at the estimated range because it publishes nothing.

Platform Per screen per month 25 screens a year Single sign-on
Poppulo, estimated 20 to 30 USD 6,000 to 9,000 USD Included in the platform
Appspace, reported Bundle pricing About 7,200 USD on the reported Express bundle Yes
TelemetryTV Elite 16 USD 4,800 USD Yes
Displayer Professional 14 USD 4,200 USD No, roles and approvals
Displayer Network 24 USD 7,200 USD Yes, SAML with audit log

The comparison that matters depends on what you are replacing. If you need signage only, for lobbies, break rooms and office floors, a per screen platform costs less and starts without a sales cycle. Our Appspace pricing guide works through the same question for the other big workplace platform.

When Poppulo is worth it, and when a per screen platform is enough

Buy Poppulo when internal communications is the real project. If your comms team sends to email, the employee app and screens from one plan, needs emergency alerts across every channel, and wants meeting room booking and wayfinding on the same contract, an omnichannel platform earns its price, and comparing it with signage software per screen misses the point.

Choose a per screen platform when the job is screens. A facilities or IT lead with 10 to 60 displays in lobbies, kitchens, warehouses and break rooms usually needs schedules, templates, a few editors per site, single sign-on and a record of what played. Displayer does that from 14 USD a screen a month on the yearly rate, runs in the browser of the TVs you already own, and adds SAML single sign-on, an audit log and API access on Network at 24 USD. Our office digital signage software page shows the workplace setup, and the proof of play record keeps a timestamped screenshot of what each screen showed.

Whichever you pick, check after the first month whether people actually read the screens. A short employee pulse survey asking which messages people noticed tells you more than a play log ever will.

How much does Poppulo cost?

Poppulo does not publish prices; every product line is quoted by sales. Independent cost guides put enterprise platforms like Poppulo at 20 to 30 USD or more per screen per month, and one US university charges departments 250 USD a year per content player. Services, players and displays are extra.

Does Poppulo have a free trial?

Poppulo's pricing page offers no self-serve trial for digital signage; every product line leads to a sales conversation and a demo. If you want to test signage on your own screens before a procurement cycle, per screen platforms such as Displayer let you pair screens and run them without talking to sales.

Is Poppulo the same as Four Winds Interactive?

Yes, in signage terms. Four Winds Interactive, known as FWI, merged with Poppulo in 2021 with backing from Vista Equity Partners, and FWI's digital signage now sells under the Poppulo name. Many listings, including Capterra, still use the FWI page for Poppulo digital signage.

What hardware does Poppulo digital signage need?

A supported player per screen: a Windows PC, an Android device, a BrightSign player, or Poppulo's own Harmony signage player. One university standard specifies Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC with at least an 11th generation Intel Core i3. Displays are bought separately.

Is Poppulo priced per user or per screen?

Both, depending on the product. Employee email and app products are typically licensed by employee count, while digital signage is sized by screens and players. A bundled quote can combine them, which is why two companies with the same screen count may pay different amounts.

What is a cheaper alternative to Poppulo for digital signage?

For signage only, a per screen platform with published prices. 25 screens cost 4,200 USD a year on Displayer Professional, 7,200 USD on Displayer Network with SAML single sign-on, and 4,800 USD on TelemetryTV Elite, against an estimated 6,000 to 9,000 USD for Poppulo before services and players.
