How Displayer runs on Windows
There is no installer. The player is a web page, opened in Edge or Chrome in kiosk mode, pointed at the pairing URL. The machine signs in automatically, opens the browser on start, and shows the screen. Nothing else has to be deployed to it.
That means the device is managed exactly like your other Windows endpoints: your imaging, your patching, your inventory, your remote support.

Settings that keep it running unattended
- Auto sign-in for the local account the screen uses, with no password prompt on a reboot
- Browser in kiosk mode, opened by a startup task, restarted automatically if it closes
- Sleep, hibernate and screen blanking disabled on that power plan
- Windows Update on a maintenance window outside trading hours, with automatic restart
- Notifications and toast messages turned off, because a notification is a hole in your content
- Automatic restart after a power cut, set in firmware
- The display resolution and orientation fixed, so a driver update does not rotate a wall
What hardware to use
A small business mini PC is enough for images, web content and 1080p video. Choose one with 8 GB of memory and a modern integrated graphics chip if the screens run 4K video. What it costs
Software is billed per active screen, regardless of what drives it: 19 USD on Essential, 29 USD on Professional with groups and proof of play, 49 USD on Network with single sign-on and the audit log. The Windows machine is yours, so there is no player licence on top. See the pricing page.
Do we need to install anything
No. A browser in kiosk mode pointed at the pairing URL is the whole deployment. Your existing management tools can set that up on a fresh machine.
What happens when Windows updates
Schedule updates outside trading hours and allow the automatic restart. The machine comes back, signs in, reopens the browser and the screen resumes its schedule. The play record shows the gap.
Does it work offline
Yes. The player keeps its schedule and media locally and carries on playing, then uploads the stored play records when the connection returns.
