Spectrio alternative without a 36 month contract, and Spectrio competitors compared on price per screen

The usual Spectrio alternative is a self-serve platform billed per screen, monthly or yearly, on TVs you already own. Spectrio is reported at 99 USD a month for the first screen and 30 USD for each extra one on a 36 month term that renews itself unless you cancel in writing 30 days before it ends. Yodeck, TelemetryTV, ScreenCloud and Displayer publish their prices and bill without a multi-year term. Ten screens on Displayer Professional cost 1,680 USD a year, against about 4,428 USD on the reported Spectrio rate.

Build the replacement screen before your notice window closes

Type your practice or store name and three messages, and the builder renders a working screen in your browser with the weekly schedule behind it. No account, no player box and no sales call. If you are pricing a Spectrio renewal, this shows in two minutes whether your waiting room loop or promotion board can run on software your own staff edits.

Why people look for a Spectrio alternative

Spectrio sells a bundle: screens, overhead music, on-hold messaging, Wi-Fi marketing and a content team that designs the slides for you. For a practice that uses all of it every month, the bundle is fair value. The search for a replacement usually starts somewhere else, with a calendar reminder.

The trigger is the contract, not the screens. Spectrio's published MSA renews the agreement for an identical term unless either side gives written notice at least 30 days before the end, and it allows price increases of up to 10 percent a year. On a 36 month term that means one missed date commits the office to three more years. Most practice managers find the clause when the renewal letter arrives, which is exactly when they open a comparison tab.

The second reason is the price of a small network. At 99 USD for the first screen, a dental office with one waiting room TV pays five to ten times the per screen rate of the published platforms. The rate falls as screens are added, to about 33 USD a screen at 20, but that is still above ScreenCloud Pro and more than double most of the market.

The third reason is control. When the content team builds the slides, every change goes through a ticket. A new hygienist, a holiday closure or a price change on whitening is a request instead of a two minute edit, and the screen on the wall is often a week behind the front desk.

Published US list prices per screen per month, read from each vendor's pricing page in September and October 2026. Spectrio publishes no prices, so its figures are the rates software directories report.

Reading that table honestly

Spectrio wins one row outright: it is the only vendor here that will design your slides, install the screens and sell you overhead music and on-hold messaging in the same order. If those services are why you bought it, a self-serve platform replaces only part of the bill, and you should price the music and phone lines separately before you cancel anything.

Everywhere else the comparison is about what you pay for freedom. Yodeck and TelemetryTV are the cheapest at entry. ScreenCloud is the most expensive of the published vendors and buys enterprise governance. Displayer sits in the middle and is the only one that stores a picture of what each screen showed.

What a Spectrio replacement costs at 10 screens over three years

A full Spectrio term is 36 months, so that is the fair window. Software only, each vendor's reporting tier at its yearly rate.

Spectrio, reported Business rate

99 USD for the first screen plus nine screens at 30 USD is 369 USD a month, 4,428 USD a year and 13,284 USD over the term, before activation, hardware and any 10 percent yearly increases. The full breakdown, including the renewal clauses, is in our Spectrio pricing guide.

Yodeck Premium

10 screens at 12 USD is 120 USD a month, 1,440 USD a year and 4,320 USD over three years, with a Yodeck player included on the annual plan. Tier by tier detail is in the Yodeck pricing guide.

TelemetryTV Elite

10 screens at 16 USD is 160 USD a month, 1,920 USD a year and 5,760 USD over three years, on an annual term with a 10 device minimum. Our TelemetryTV pricing breakdown covers Entry, Core, Elite and the Network plan.

ScreenCloud Pro

10 screens at 30 USD is 300 USD a month, 3,600 USD a year and 10,800 USD over three years. The minimums and the device offer are in our ScreenCloud pricing breakdown.

Displayer Professional

10 screens at 14 USD on the yearly rate is 140 USD a month, 1,680 USD a year and 5,040 USD over three years, with screenshot proof of play and unlimited team members. Monthly billing is 29 USD a screen with nothing to renew. Every plan is on our pricing page.

The gap between 13,284 USD and about 5,000 USD is the money a practice manager can take to the owner. What it does not include is the content team, so be honest about who will edit the screens once Spectrio stops doing it.

How to leave Spectrio without paying for a second term

1. Find the end date and the notice date. Read your order form for the initial term start, add 36 months, and subtract 30 days. That is the last day written notice counts. Put it in two calendars.

2. Send written notice early. The MSA asks for written notice, so send it in writing and keep the confirmation. Sending it 60 or 90 days out costs nothing and removes the risk of a dispute about the date.

3. Check every location's term. Screens added after the first order run on the same initial or renewal term unless the order said otherwise, so a location added late can sit on a different clock. Ask for the end date per location in writing.

4. Download your media. Export the images and videos your team or Spectrio's team made before access ends. Slides built in their tools may not export as editable files, so keep the source files you own.

5. Plan the equipment return. Equipment Spectrio supplied has to be returned or certified destroyed at the end of the agreement, or it is billed at 50 USD per item. The TVs you bought yourself stay yours.

6. Run one location in parallel. Pair one screen on the new platform a few weeks before the end date, run your real loop for a week, then move the rest the day the term closes.

Keep the TVs, replace the box

Most Spectrio sites run a supplied media player behind a TV the practice or store bought. When the player goes back, the screen still works, it just needs something to play from.

Displayer's digital signage player is a browser page. A recent smart TV can run it on its own browser, and any small Android stick, Chrome device or Windows mini PC can run it on a TV that cannot. Pairing is a six character code typed once on the screen, so a front desk can do it between patients. There is no vendor hardware to return the next time you change your mind.

For a clinic or dental office, our waiting room screens page shows the usual layout: wait time notice, services, a short education loop and the after-hours number. A retail or restaurant site works the same way with a different template.

What you gain that Spectrio did not list

Spectrio's plan list covers cloud management and live deployment, and does not describe a per screen playback report. For a single office that rarely matters. For a dental group that must show a supplier what ran, or a franchise that reports promotions to the brand, it decides the purchase.

Displayer keeps a play record for each screen and, on Professional, stores periodic timestamped screenshots of the rendered screen beside it. The difference matters when a player reports a file as played while the TV sat on the wrong HDMI input. Our proof of play page shows what the export contains. If nobody will ever ask you that question, buy on price and pick Essential or Yodeck.

Which Spectrio alternative to pick

Choose Yodeck when

Price per screen is the deciding number and you want a player box shipped to each site. At 12 USD on Premium it is the cheapest reporting tier here, and the annual plan includes the hardware.

Choose TelemetryTV when

The screens show dashboards, web apps and data more than slides, and an IT team will manage them. Entry and Core at 8 and 13 USD are low, and Elite adds proof of play from 10 devices.

Choose ScreenCloud when

An IT security review is part of the purchase and the budget is there. At 30 USD on Pro it costs close to Spectrio per screen at scale, without the 36 month term.

Choose Displayer when

Your own staff will edit the screens, you run more than one location, and someone may ask what was on the wall last Tuesday. Essential from 9 USD yearly, Professional with screenshots from 14 USD, and three screens to start.

Stay on Spectrio when

You use the content team every month and the music and on-hold messaging in the same order, and the bundle price is good. Ask for a price lock and a shorter renewal term instead of switching.

What is the best alternative to Spectrio?

For most practices and small chains it is a self-serve platform with published per screen pricing and no multi-year term. Yodeck is the cheapest at 8 to 12 USD a screen, TelemetryTV suits data-heavy screens, ScreenCloud suits IT-led companies, and Displayer adds screenshot proof of play from 14 USD a screen on the yearly rate.

Who are Spectrio's competitors?

In digital signage, the names on most shortlists are Yodeck, OptiSigns, TelemetryTV, ScreenCloud, Rise Vision, Screenly, Raydiant and Displayer. For overhead music and on-hold messaging, Spectrio competes with specialist audio vendors instead, so a full replacement may mean two suppliers rather than one.

How do I get out of my Spectrio contract?

Send written notice at least 30 days before the end of your initial or renewal term, as the MSA requires, and keep proof of delivery. Confirm the end date for every location, download your media, then return or certify the destruction of Spectrio equipment to avoid the 50 USD per item charge.

Is Spectrio worth the price?

It is when you use the whole bundle: designed content each month, installation, music and on-hold messaging from one vendor. It is hard to justify for one or two screens your staff could edit, where 99 USD a month for the first screen is five to ten times the published rate of self-serve platforms.

Is there a cheaper alternative to Spectrio?

Yes. At 10 screens the reported Spectrio rate is about 4,428 USD a year. Yodeck Premium is 1,440 USD, Displayer Professional 1,680 USD and TelemetryTV Elite 1,920 USD for the same screens, all billed monthly or yearly with no 36 month term.

Can I use my existing TVs if I leave Spectrio?

Yes, if you bought them yourself. Spectrio supplied players go back at the end of the agreement, so each screen needs a new source: the TV's own browser on a recent smart TV, or a small Android, Chrome or Windows device. Displayer runs as a browser page on any of them.

Does Spectrio offer month to month billing?

The rates directories report for Spectrio digital signage are based on a 36 month term, and the MSA renews it automatically for an identical term. Month to month pricing, if offered, would come from a quote. Displayer bills each screen monthly at 19 to 49 USD with no term at all.

How long does it take to switch from Spectrio?

About an afternoon per location once the new platform is chosen. Pair one screen first, rebuild the main loop from your own media, run it for a week, then move the other screens. Content does not transfer between vendors, so start a few weeks before the contract end date.

Price three screens before the renewal letter arrives

Pair three TVs you already own, run your real loop for a week, and put the yearly total next to your Spectrio renewal quote while there is still time to send notice.
